Change to the Board of Directors of The Denver Gold Group
Mr. Daniel Breeze & Ms. Emma Murray have been appointed Directors of Denver Gold Group, effective January 1, 2025. Mr. Haytham Hodaly & Ms. Pamela Solly complete their six-year terms on Dec. 31, 2024.
December 9, 2024 / The Denver Gold Group (DGG), a nonprofit trade association, announces the appointment of Mr. Daniel Breeze and Ms. Emma Murray as Directors effective January 1, 2025. They fill roles vacated by Mr. Haytham Hodaly of Wheaton Precious Metals and Ms. Pamela Solly of Vista Gold, who both completed six-year terms on the Board of Directors and fulfilled several roles as chairs and members of various committees.
Outgoing Director Solly said, “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as a Director of DGG over the past six years. Working alongside such a talented group of professionals has been an inspiring experience. I hold the DGG in the highest regard for its unwavering dedication to the growth and success of the mining industry."

Ms. Murray has extensive experience in capital markets and strategic planning, spanning both the energy and mining sectors. Ms. Murray is currently the Vice President of Investor Relations at Wheaton Precious Metals, one of the world’s largest streaming companies, where she works to communicate Wheaton’s corporate strategy, financial performance and sustainability initiatives to the investment community. Before joining Wheaton, Ms. Murray held roles in Investor Relations at Goldcorp and Suncor Energy and Global Investment Banking (Energy) at RBC Capital Markets. Ms. Murray is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
Mr. Breeze is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at Royal Gold, Inc. and has served in this role since January 2019. Before joining Royal Gold, Mr. Breeze was a Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets and a director at UBS Investment Bank, primarily focusing on the mining sector, which included progressive roles in Toronto, London, Paris, and Zurich. Before his banking career, Mr. Breeze was a Golder Associates’ (now WSP) geotechnical and mining team member. Mr. Breeze holds Master of Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Ontario) with dual citizenship (Canada/Switzerland).
DGG Board Chairman Dan Denbow said, “It has been a pleasure working with Haytham and Pam since I joined the DGG board. Through their leadership and insights, they have been key contributors to various organizational committees and initiatives. They leave big shoes to fill, but with that, I am pleased to welcome Emma Murray and Dan Breeze to the board. It is an interesting time in the mining space.
I look forward to their contributions as DGG continues to work hard for its members and support their needs in accessing the capital markets so they can meet the critical needs for the metals markets and consumer demand.”

Mr. Tim Wood, Executive Director of DGG, thanked Mr. Hodaly and Ms. Solly for their valuable contributions, engagement, and representation of DGG throughout their terms, which coincided with the challenges presented by COVID-19. “DGG continues to attract the highest quality talent to the Board of Directors, exemplified by the additions of Mr. Breeze and Ms. Murray,” he added.
